After the launch, Yuri tried to perform his "Barrel Roll Take Off Deluxe" which miraculous succeeded by the sheer amount of power strapped to the seat.

The only problem with this unscripted maneuver was that the contraption did not reach enough height for the parachute to properly deploy, resulting in a hard crash.
Although Wernher found the outcome a disappointment, Yuri had a great time!
